Smooth 7.35 Treadmill Review |
|
![]() |
The Smooth 7.35 treadmill is a 2010 model that Smooth Fitness introduced to replace the Smooth 7.1 HR Pro. If there’s one thing to be said about the older model, it’s that it was a solid treadmill and a real heavyweight at 280 lbs. However, the 2.75 HP motor didn’t quite match its physical stability. Well, that has changed with the Smooth 7.35 treadmill. At 271 lbs, it’s only a wee bit lighter than the 7.1 HR Pro, but this model now comes with a powerful but quiet 3.0 HP continuous duty motor. Other major improvements are its ample walking surface measuring 20″ by 60″, up from 20″ by 54″ of the previous version, and the addition of a deluxe sound system, cooling fan, and one-touch controls that adjusts the speed and incline easily. Despite its immense weight, the 7.35 is not that difficult to fold and store because it is equipped with the dual stage, soft drop folding system and transport wheels. Plus, it also comes Smooth’s “Best in Industry” warranty that includes lifetime warranty for the frame/deck and motor. The MSRP on the Smooth 7.35 treadmill is $2,497 but is regularly on sale for $1,999 and you pay no sales tax unless you are a resident of Pennsylvania or Indiana. Actual Expert and Customer Feedback:
I don't typically purchase things online, but I had been in the market for a treadmill at a reasonable price for a while. I enjoy running outside, but sometimes I don't feel like running in the rain or the cold. I took a chance and bought the 7.35 and could not be happier. The whole experience was very pleasant. I received my treadmill VERY quickly, and assembled in no time at all. It's quiet, it's comfortable, and it has some really neat features. I would absolutely recommend this treadmill to anyone.-Smooth Fitness Customer Overview Best For: Walkers, Joggers, Runners Pros: Cons: The Smooth 7.35 was released in November 2009 so as of this review, there isn't a lot of reviews for it yet from both industry experts and consumers. The older model, Smooth 7.1 HP Pro, had mixed reviews with some industry experts calling it one of the "weaker" treadmills in Smooth's lineup. With the much-improved Smooth 7.35 however, experts and actual users will probably find it a more-value-for-money treadmill that is more competitive with other high-end models. For now, the only feedback for the 7.35 found on the Smooth Fitness website is very favorable, with the new owner saying he would "absolutely recommend this treadmill to anyone." What takes the Smooth 7.35 treadmill a notch (or even many notches) higher than its predecessor? The most obvious improvements are the more powerful 3.0 HP continuous duty motor and a longer and more comfortable 20" by 60" running surface. The other added features such the deluxe music system, one-touch controls, additional user programs, and cooling fans are simply icing on the cake. What makes it a great deal for anyone interested in the Smooth 7.35 is that with all those new features, Smooth has maintained the price of the 7.1 HR Pro with the Smooth 7.35 - MSRP of $2,497 and with a typical sale price of $1,699.
